Institute of Ecological Civilization and Carbon Neutrality, Zhejiang A&F University (ECC-ZAFU) is a prestigious think tank established in 2011, encompassing four research institutes: ecological economy, low-Carbon development, ecological culture, and ecological governance. ECC-ZAFU has assembled a robust academic team comprising 143 researchers, including 40 professors and 42 associate professors. Professor Shen Manhong, a national-level talent, is the Dean, and Professor Qian Zhiquan, a Tianmu Young Scholar, is the Vice Dean.

ECC-ZAFU offers training and consulting services related to ecological civilization, low carbon, and green industry development, undertaking commissioned research from national ministries, local governments, and domestic & international social organizations. ECC-ZAFU has completed 250+ national and provincial-level projects, including Natural Science Fund Major Programs, National Social Science Fund Major Programs, and National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program). ECC-ZAFU has held 20+ national invention patents, published 1,000+ academic papers and authored 160+ academic monographs. ECC-ZAFU has received 50+ provincial and ministerial awards, including the prestigious National Science and Technology Progress Award. Its policy advisory reports have received directives on 100+ occasions from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council, the National People's Congress, central state organs and ministries, as well as provincial party committees and governments.
