The Royal Society

The Royal Society is a charitable organisation that recognises, promotes, and supports excellence in science. For over 350 years, the Royal Society has published high-quality, peer-reviewed journals covering all scientific disciplines. Whichever journal you choose, we offer an excellent publishing service and international readership. We welcome submissions of high quality science from anywhere in the world, and our journals publish a range of article types, such as research articles, reviews, opinion pieces, evidence synthesis and registered reports. Our manuscripts are overseen by practising scientists who are world-class experts in their respective fields and who provide valuable feedback to our authors. If peer reviewed, your submitted article will receive a first decision in an average of 3–6 weeks. Each journal provides open access options, partnerships with Dryad, Figshare and Publons, and no colour charges.
